Can I be reimbursed for driving my personal vehicle?

Yes, if the Company you are seeking reimbursement offers mileage reimbursement as an expense type for your account and your location.

What does mileage reimbursement cover?

The mileage reimbursement rate covers what you will be reimbursed for fuel and normal wear and tear per mile. It does not directly reimburse fuel expenses. Unless instructed otherwise, you will not be asked to enter the cost to fill up your car with gas.  

How do I enter my mileage expenses?

To claim the expense of driving your personal vehicle, select Create Expense --> Click here to enter mileage expenses.

Enter your Starting point (where you began your drive) and the Destination. You can enter a city or specific address. If you don't find the town you are looking for please contact support@reimbi.com. You will see a green line representing the general route and a popup displaying the total distance that will be used to calculate your reimbursement amount. Your exact distance may vary based on the route you took.

You can check the Round trip option to include your return drive. Reimbi will calculate the number of miles/kilometers and the reimbursement amount. The Miles rate is defined in the reimbursement policy you are assigned to. 

Leave a short Description describing why this mileage expense is being included. 

Once you have entered the information click Save to add this expense to your expense report. If you have other expenses to add click Save and add another.
